Venezuela Opposition Leader Rearrested

One of Venezuela’s main opposition leaders, Daniel Ceballos, has been sent back to jail. Ceballos had been released from prison last year and placed under house arrest for health reasons. In a statement, the interior ministry said he had planned to coordinate acts of violence at an opposition demonstration planned for September 1, BBC reported. He was arrested in March 2014 for inciting violence during protests against food shortages, high inflation and rampant crime.
