Sanandaj, capital of Kurdistan Province, is hosting an exhibition of illustrations selected from the lineups of the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava in Slovakia.
A total of 42 works by Iranian and Slovak illustrators are on show at Soureh Gallery of Bahman Cinema located on Ferdowsi Street, near Azadi Square, Mehr News Agency reported on its Persian website.
Of the featured works, 29 are by Slovak illustrators and 13 by Iranian artists. There are 25 winners of the biennial’s Grand Prix among the works.
Organized under the auspices of the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, the exhibition of “Bratislava Illustration” opened July 15 for one week.
The event is organized in collaboration with the provincial Art Forum (in Persian: Hozeh-Honari) of the Islamic Development Organization, and in coordination with the general commissioner of BIB Zuzana Jarosova.
After the Sanandaj event, “Bratislava Illustration” will be held in some other cities.
