Painting Exhibition of Kermanshah’s Quake-Stricken Children at IAF

Paintings by quake-stricken children in the border province of Kermanshah will go on show along with works of contemporary artists at the Iranian Artists Forum July 27-August 3.

On November 12, 2017, a killer earthquake struck the Iran–Iraq border region. The tremor killed 630 people in Kermanshah, injured over 10,000 and left thousands homeless in the area.

The children’s paintings have been collected by artist Behnam Norouzi who spent months in the Kurdish area offering relief aid and assistance, Honaronline reported on its Persian website.

Prominent artists contributing to the exhibition are Kourosh Shishegaran, Bahram Dabiri, Ali Soltani, Hossein Maher, Mansour Tabibzadeh, Reza Hedayat, Hojjat Amani, Abdolhamid Pazoki, Niloufar Qaderinejad and Nourozi.

Nourozi will be showing works that he created while living and helping in the quake-stricken region.

Iranian Artists Forum is situated at Honarmandan (Artists) Park on Iranshahr Street, Taleqani Avenue.
