Calligraphies by author and calligraphist Kaveh Teymouri are on show at Andisheh Cultural Center.
For his exhibit Teymouri has written a selection of verses composed by renowned Persian poets on the subject of spring and Norouz, the Iranian New Year.
“Norouz is one of the basic foundations of Iranian culture. We have a significant body of works about it composed by our celebrated poets. Rendering the poems in the fine script of nastaliq is one way to promote the concepts they convey,” Honaronline quoted Teymouris as saying.
Nastaliq is a cursive style in calligraphy with long horizontal strokes and short verticals. The venue of the exhibit is located at Andisheh Park on Shariati Street, near Seyed-Khandan Bridge.
