Iranian Publisher Attends Eurasian Book Fair

An Iranian publisher presented about 200 books at the 4th Eurasian International Book Fair in Astana,  Kazakhstan, on April 25-28.

“For the first time, Iran has joined 20 book publishers from European and Asian countries at the event in the capital city of Kazakhstan,” Majid Jafari-Aqdam, manager of POL publishing company, told Mehr News Agency.

POL Literary and Translation Agency presented 50 novels for adults, 40 nonfictions and 100 books for children and young adults.

The company translates Persian books and represents Iranian publishers, authors and illustrators in the world, by promoting them in major international book fairs. It also introduces useful books from other countries to local publishers.

Eurasian International Book Fair was organized by Foliant Publishing House with the support of Astana mayor’s office and the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
