The one-man show “Hedgehog”, written, directed and performed by actor Bahram Afshari, will be restaged at Iranshahr Theater from May 5. The performance is scheduled to continue through May 22.
The story is about a rural young man who travels to Tehran to make his dreams of becoming an actor and winning an Oscar. He recounts his past experiences and expresses anxiety about the future; several events are interspersed in the story.
Hedgehog was earlier performed at Entezami Theater Hall and Baran Theater Hall, and was well-received by theater enthusiasts.
To write the piece, Afshari spent a long time studying and speaking with cinema actors and extras, collecting their experiences.
“After studying the information thoroughly, I created a character whose personality and life story was partially taken from my own experiences,” he said.
The venue is located at Honarmandan (Artists) Park on Iranshahr Street, Tiwall wrote.
