A total of 53 countries are to attend the 31st Tehran International Book Fair slated for May 2-12.
“Publishers from 53 countries have confirmed their participation in the event so far,” Amir Masoud Shahramnia, TIBF’s managing director, told IRNA.
More than 500 foreign publishers will participate in the fair covering an area of 4,300 square meters.
This year, 20 publishers from Serbia and 18 participants from Tunisia are special guests of the international fair.
TIBF is an annual cultural event that has turned into a prestigious book fair in the Middle East and Asia after three decades.
This year’s fair will be held at Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla (prayer grounds) in central Tehran.
