Graffiti & Street Art

A group exhibition of street art is underway at Seyhoun Art Gallery.

Titled “For Your Consideration,” the exhibit opened May 24 and, except on Mondays, will run through June 6 at the gallery located at No. 11, Alley 4, Vozara Street, north of Beheshti Avenue, Gallery Info reported.

On display are a collection of photos of graffiti artworks by street artists from across the world including Boojoir, Banksy, 1 Up, Canavar, Blu, Black Hand, FRZ, Escif, David de la Mano, I 11, Icy & Sot, Hyuro, Martin Whatson, Madc, Mad, Obey, Nafir, Mcity and Pez.

Street art is a form of artwork displayed on buildings, walls and other publicly viewed surfaces. Many instances come in the form of guerrilla art, which is composed to make a public statement about the society. The work has moved from the beginnings of graffiti and vandalism to new modes where artists work to bring messages, or just simple beauty, to the audience.
