Ramsar County in northern province of Mazandaran will host a 6-day festival offering a variety of cultural and recreational programs.
Slated for June 12-17, the festival will be held in the city of Ketalem & Sadat-Shahr in central Ramsar, according to the website of Ramsar Municipality.
The festival will be held on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the first day of month of Shawwal in lunar calendar, which is celebrated by Muslims as it marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan (June 14).
An exhibition of handicrafts and souvenirs, stand-up comedy shows and live music performances are among the festival’s programs. The venue is Ketalem & Sadat-Shahr Municipality’s Sports Complex.
The festival starts with an exhibition of handicrafts and souvenirs which will run through the end of the event. On June 14, actor and comedian Alireza Khamseh and voice artist and comedian Abbas Rezazadeh will perform stand-up shows. Pop musician Emad Talebzadeh will sing at the same concert.
On June 15, the festival features the live streaming of Iran-Morocco football match, the first clash of Team Melli in the FIFA World Cup Russia. Like the previous day, Rezazadeh will be on the stage to present another stand-up show. The concert for the day will be given by pop singer, composer, trumpet player and music arranger Omid Hajili.
Actor and comedian Reza Shafiee-Jam will appear on June 16 to perform a stand-up show. On the day, a live concert is planned featuring pop musician Omid Jahan who specializes in ‘Bandari’ music, a genre stemming from coastal regions in southern Iran.
