Blue Vision Photography Festival, featuring photos by 69 local photographers and 13 from other countries, is underway at Negarestan Garden Museum in Tehran.
Affiliated to University of Tehran, Negarestan is displaying 120 photographs on the subjects related to judicious consumption, clean energy and environment.
It is the second edition of its kind and will run through June 20, ISNA reported on its Persian website.
The photos were taken in 28 countries and were selected from a total of 6,120 submitted works. Jury members are veteran cinematographer Mahmoud Kalari; photographer Mojtaba Aqaee; actress, film director and photographer Niki Karimi; photographer Shadi Qadirian; and German environmental activist Nicolai Niemann, founder and director of the Berlin International Green Film Festival.
Blue Vision includes three competition sections -- mobile photography, professional and international photography. Cash prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250 are considered for the first three photographs in the international section.
“The festival has been well received by the people…This year we received photos from across the provinces,” secretary of the event Masoud Makkari said.
Negarestan Museum Garden is located at Shariatmadar Street, Daneshsara Street, Baharestan Square.
