Golden Soundtracks at Godfather Cafe

Guitarist and singer Hamid-Reza Salehin will perform famous soundtracks at Godfather Café in Tehran.

On Thursday night, Salehin will play some golden soundtracks including that of the namesake of the venue The Godfather, Tiwall.com reported on its Persian website.

With a guitar, Salehin will perform familiar pieces such as the Ecstasy of Gold, part of Italian composer Enio Morricone’s score for the Sergio Leone film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

He will play scores from the films Pirates of the Caribbean, Mission Impossible, Leon the Professional, Desperado, the animation Moana, and TV series Game of Thrones. The theme song of Papillion is included, as is a piece from the score of Hobbits trilogy which is titled “The Last Goodbye.”

Salehin will sing “Make It Rain,” a song by Northern Irish musician Foy Vance, which became famous by English singer and musician Ed Sheeran in 2014 when it was used in TV series Sons of Anarchy.

From Star Wars franchise, “The Imperial March” theme song is selected; and from Terminator, the piece known as “Bad to the Bone.”

Salehin has picked two pieces from Quentin Tarantino’s crime film “Pulp Fiction.” His picks are “You’ll Be a Woman Soon” and “Misirlou,” a rock version of the Eastern Mediterranean traditional song performed by American guitarist Dick Dale.

Godfather Café is located at No. 876, Enqelab Avenue, near College Junction at the intersection with Hafez Street. Tickets to the concert are available on the website of Tiwall.
