An adaptation of the play “The Case of Crushed Petunias” written by Tennessee Williams (1911-1983) is to go on stage at Gandom Art and Cultural Institute in Tehran on June 20 under the directorship of Marjan Bakht-Minoo.

A one-act play written in 1956, The Case of the Crushed Petunias is a story of Dorothy Simple, a woman trapped in her job at a clean and tidy shop in Massachusetts. Her complacent existence is interrupted by a visit from a tall man who, she discovers, trampled on her petunias the night before. He helps her break free from the dreary life.
According to Tiwall.com, the cast includes Fatemeh Miri, Mohammad Qaem-Maqami, Amin Ebrahimi and Seyyed Amir Hosseini.
Located at No. 2, Maragheh Alley, Nejatollahi Street, the venue will host the performance through July 6.
