Blue Vision Photo Festival Winners Named

Winners of the second edition of Blue Vision Photography Festival awarded at the closing ceremony on June 20.  

With focus on subjects related to judicious consumption, clean energy and protection of the environment, the event was held at Negarestan Garden Museum in Tehran, ISNA reported on its Persian website. In the mobile photography section, Mostafa Gholamnejad, Mahdieh Sadat-Safavi and Navid Motrianpour were the winners. Winners of the festival’s main section were Babak Rostami, Davoud Izadpanah and Seyyed Ali Hosseinifar. In this section Mohamoud-Reza Moeenpour, Sina Yaqoubpour, Sajed Haqshenas from Iran received recommendation plaques. Foreign recipients of the plaque were Natalia Chumakova from Ukraine and Abdul-Malek Babul from Bangladesh.

The winning works were selected from a total of 120 photographs that had entered the festival lineup. They were submitted by 69 local photographers and 13 from other countries. 

The photos were evaluated by a five-member panel including photographers Mojtaba Aqaee and Shadi Ghadirian; cinematographer Mahmoud Kalari; actress and photographer Niki Karimi; and German film director Nicolai Niemann who is founder and CEO of the Berlin-based pro-environmental film production company Green Me GmbH. Blue Vision is organized by Blue Circle environmental group of Art & Ecosystem Club affiliated to Tehran University.
