Evaluation Council of the Culture Ministry has issued First Degree Art Certificates for three musicians from the Khorasan region.
At a recent meeting of the council in Tehran, following a decision made by five members of Music Expert Committee, two dotar players and one vocalist were evaluated as masters of Khorasan ethnic music which encompasses Khorasan Razavi, South Khorasan and North Khorasan provinces.
The three veteran musicians are singer Ali Gholam-Rezai Almeh-Juqi and dotar virtuosos Ali-Reza Salmani-Aliabadi and Morad-Ali Salar-Ahmadi, Honaronline reported on its Persian website.
Equivalent to PhD, the certificate is granted for mastery in art and literature.
