Classical Concert by Austrian-Iranian Symphony Orchestra

Austro-Iranian Symphony Orchestra is to perform a classical concert at Vahdat Hall, July 12-13. The concert will include famous masterpieces by Austrian composers Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Strauss, Franz Schubert and Vienna-educated Iranian contemporary composers Nader Mashayekhi and Peyman Yazdanian, Tiwall reported. Austrian guest conductor Peter Sommerer and young Austrian baritone singer Matthias Hoffmann will attend the upcoming concert that will commemorate the 60th foundation anniversary of Austrian Cultural Forum in Tehran. The forum is a cultural institute that focuses on teaching German language, offering music and theater courses, organizing seminars and aptitude tests alongside providing books to 2000 plus subscribers. The symphony orchestra was founded in 2006 at the institute. Austrian music conductor Christian Schulz is the managing director of the ensemble and choir since 2010. Some of the well known classical pieces in the upcoming concert will include “Death and the Maiden” by Franz Schubert, “Pizzicato Polka” by Johann Strauss, and “Figaro Overture” by Wolfgang A. Mozart. The orchestra will also play “Mongolian” by Nader Mashayekhi and “Symphony No.1” (last movement) by Peyman Yazdanian.Tickets are available at Tiwall.com.
