The documentary “Weavers of Imagination” has been accepted for screening at the American Psychological Association Annual Convention and Film Festival, slated for August 9-12 in San Francisco, California.
Directed by Seyyed Mohammad-Sadeq Jafari, it is produced by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, ISNA reported on its Persian website.
The 20-minute documentary is about the work of a group of carpet weavers in Iran who weave in an unconventional way: using Braille to guide their work. These weavers are blind and their work has brought additional meaning and purpose to their lives.
APA Film Festival is a celebration of psychology through the lens of a camera. “Our mission is to open minds and build bridges in the areas of psychology, film, social media, and contemporary social issues,” The event’s website wrote.
