The second edition of “Trends and Approaches in Contemporary Art” will open at Pardis Art Gallery in Tehran’s Mellat Cineplex.
Paintings, sculptures, installations, photos and video art created by contemporary Iranian artists will be on view from May 13 to June 16, Mehr News Agency reported on its Persian website.
The exhibit will be an account of the contemporary trends in Iranian art, as seen in 80 works by 37 artists. The previous edition, held May 11-June 9, 2017, featured paintings and sculptures by 40 artists.
The event is a showcase of diverse works by artists of different generations. Organized by Mandegar Institute of Art and Culture in Tehran, the exhibit is a cross section of contemporary artistic trends in Iran.
Mellat Cineplex is west of Mellat Park, located off Rafsanjani Highway.
